Surgery Nurse Manager

Michelle
manages the nursing staff at the Leigh surgery including
rotas, holidays, appraisal etc in addition to her
normal nursing duties. Michelle joined the Practice
as a YTS placement many years ago and has worked her
way through the ranks to be an extremely competent
leader. She supports Manchester United, has a dog
Jack, married her husband Dave in Florida and enjoys
many aspects of computing at home.

Surgery Head Nurse and Practice Nurse Training Manager

Gina
has been working at Leigh for some 18 years and is
one of the most experienced of our nursing team. As
well as managing the Operating Theatres and day to
day nursing duties she is our Internal Assessor for
the Veterinary Nursing NVQ courses and takes responsibility
for VN training within the Practice and also other
aspects of trainee management.
Gina
has a husband Bryn, a handsome boy Liam, 3 horses,
and over 20 dogs and cats who together engage most
of Gina's freetime.

Lowsbrough

Surgery Nurse Manager

Jill
Manages the Hindley Surgery, our most recent addition
to the establishment. She shares responsibility for
human resources with the other Nurse Managers and
the Practice Adminstrator.
Jill
has many pets: Cilla the Dobermann she rescued in
1992 after a road traffic accident damaged her hindlegs,
Arnold the Bull Terrier was rescued when he acquired
a sight problem, Fisbee used to be a racehorse, Abbie
she showjumps, Roger is also a showjumper, Killa the
Iguana is 2 years old and occasionally lives up to
his name when feeling grumpy, Jester picks up every
sound he hears, Skippy was bald when she was rescued,
The two Zebra Finches have foot injuries which don't
stop them bouncing from perch to perch. Nearly all
of her other birds have been rescued from some illness
or dilemma

Fowler

Surgery Nurse Manager

|

|
Julie manages the nurses at the Tonge
Moor surgery where she competently supports the Junior
Nurses through their training, organises the rota
and ensures the welfare of the clients and patients
at Bolton through her supervisory role. She has shared
responsibility for all aspects of the smooth running
of the Bolton site including Human Resources in addition
to her own nursing duties.
Julie is also training for an Open
University degree in business and management studies
and was married in July 2000.
