Janet Patrick

Janet has worked at our Leigh Surgery since leaving Bangor University with a degree in zoology in 1983. Whilst working as a full time Nurse, Janet then gained her VN qualification; becoming the first nurse in our Practice to do this. After 11 years loyal service Janet married well known local dairy farmer Ian Patrick in 1994 and has become very involved in helping with their prize winning Pedigree Ayrshire Herd. When the next generation of Patricks was born to Janet and Ian, their son Alex, in 1995, Janet then decided that she still wanted to use her considerable VN skills at the Practice, whilst fulfilling her role as busy farmer's wife and mother. She therefore started working part-time. Currently Janet is in charge of running our laboratory and oversees all Pet Insurance claims and, more recently, Pet Health Passport applications. She is also responsible for other aspects of Ministry of Agriculture work.

With 17 years of dedicated service and experience, it's staff like Janet that ensure that your pet receives the very best treatment at all times.
